Accept credit card payments?

Back in 1997 or thereabouts, accepting credit card payments usually meant opening an expensive merchant account, which was not so easy, and certainly not cheap. Today, it is a lot easier. Some solutions are still expensive, others lean towards the cheap and cheerful, but there's really something for everyone.

I should say that I have no actual experience in this area. My business is 99% business-2-business and local to Switzerland, which doesn't create a big demand for payment by credit card. I have investigated the technologies
